Celebrating Excellence in Highland Dancing since 1984

ScotDance USA (formerly know as The Federation of United States Teachers and Adjudicators - FUSTA) was established in 1980 to promote Scottish Highland Dancing and culture in the United States and to provide a "community" system for teachers and judges of Highland dancing. Each year, ScotDance USA hosts their National Championships weekend featuring the highlight event, the United States Inter-Regional Championships (USIR). This championship is our version of the "Olympics", with our dancers qualifying to represent their region to compete for the honor of United States Champion. But the events don't stop there, in addition to the US Championship there are additional days of competition for all dancers, primary to premier, choreography competitions, social events, professional development events and a banquet dinner honoring our FUSTA Hall of Fame inductee, scholarship winners and the USIR Finalists. The USIR rotates among the 6 geographic regions which encompass all 50 states: East, Midwest, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, and West.
