Boston is close to many regional airports: Logan, Manchester, Hartford, Worcester, Providence.
Boston is a walkable city, no need for a rental car!
Consider the Back Bay bus from Logan Airport. Free one way, and $3/person on the way back.
Consider riding Amtrak! The station is a quick 6-minute walk to the host hotel.
